Bookmark Utility

What This Organizer Does

With Pocket by Mozilla shutting down, many users need an easy way to export their saved articles from Pocket. This tool was built to convert your Pocket exports into an HTML bookmark file that can be imported into your browser.

  • Convert Pocket CSV ➜ HTML: Converts a CSV file (exported from Pocket) into an HTML bookmarks file. Since CSV files don’t include folder structure, the resulting file is a flat list.
  • Remove Duplicate Bookmarks: Processes an HTML bookmarks file, removes duplicate bookmark links, and preserves any existing directory or folder structure.
  • Organize Bookmarks by Domain: Takes an HTML bookmarks file and groups bookmark links into domain-specific folders. It preserves any pre-existing folder structure and adds new subdirectories by domain.

In summary, the directory structure is preserved only if it originally exists in your input file. CSV inputs, by nature, lack folder information (resulting in a flat list), while HTML files processed via the other options maintain and enhance the structure.
